About Us

Meadow Brook Theatre has been a part of the Southeast Michigan performing arts community for more than 40 years.  It is no secret that arts organizations are reeling from the effects of the economic recession, and Meadow Brook Theatre is no exception. Corporate, foundation, and individual donations have declined, and state funding has been slashed.  Nevertheless, thanks to the dedication, energy and raw determination of the Meadow Brook Theatre staff, and the support of loyal patrons, the Theatre has continued to produce the Broadway quality, professional entertainment that the public has come to expect.  It hasn’t been easy, but the creativity and hard work of our staff and volunteers have paid off . . . until now.

In our efforts to raise funds for the Theatre, we have decided to host our first Fun Run/Walk fundraiser, “Feet for Seats”, on Sunday, August 23, 2009 to be held on Oakland University’s campus (in the parking lot in front of the Theatre).  We are hoping that it will be the first year of many years to come for this fundraiser, and today we're asking for your help.  As you will see from the website information, there are several ways that you can assist us in reaching our goal – Monetary sponsorship, In-kind sponsor donations or attending our event as a volunteer/participant.  All monetary and in-kind sponsors will be recognized at our fundraiser (the value of the gift will determine the level of the sponsor). 

Meadow Brook Theatre is a non-profit organization and any donation made is fully tax-deductible.  In order to provide proper recognition for all of our sponsors, we are asking that they respond no later than July 15th.  Please make checks payable to Meadow Brook Theatre and send them along with your Sponsorship form to the address provided below.  Or if you are making an in-kind donation please mail the sponsorship form back to us or contact us via email feetforseats@gmail.com so that we may work out any necessary details regarding your donation.  In order to guarantee t-shirts for participants on the day of the fun run/walk, we’re also asking that you register by July 15th either online, by mail or fax.
